HP OfficeJet 100 Unboxing

  • First, open the box and remove the installation CD and power cord. You can download the drivers for your printer from 123.hp.com/oj100 or 123.hp.com/setup 100 install the software from the CD provided
  • Then, take out the pamphlets, installation guides, etc from the top of the printer.
  • Now, remove the cardboard on the top of the printer and tilt the box so that you can pull the printer out of the box.
  • Next, drag the printer out of the box and remove the Styrofoam caps on the sides.
  • Then, remove the plastic film on the printer and peel away the tapes on the surface of the printer.
  • Open the Paper Input Tray and remove the packaging materials inside.
  • Now, open the front panel to access the ink cartridge access area.
  • Then, remove the packaging materials in the ink cartridge access area.
  • Next, open the scanner glass lid and remove the Styrofoam sheet. 

HP OfficeJet 100 Printer Initialization

First, you must switch on your printer to initialize it so that you can install ink cartridges and software drivers from 123.hp.com/oj100 or 123.hp.com/setup 100 . Follow the steps below to switch on and initialize your printer.

    • The rear of the HP OfficeJet 100 printer has printer ports, USB port and a slot for the power cord. You must insert the power cord into the power cord slot.

Next, insert the cartridge into the appropriate slot and make sure that it snaps into place. Now, unwrap the black ink cartridge and insert it into the remaining slot in the same way as the tri-colour cartridge. While inserting the cartridges, don’t touch the copper coloured contacts and ink nozzles. Once you’ve inserted the ink cartridges, you can close the ink cartridge access area. HP OfficeJet 100 Loading Unused Paper

First, take a stack of plain A4 sheets and align them on a hard surface. Then, open the Paper Input Tray located at the back of the printer. Next, insert the stack of papers into the Paper Tray. Now, slide the Paper width guides and adjust them such that they just touch the edges of the sheet. Next, pull out the Paper Output Tray so that the printer can print out an alignment sheet. Once the printer has printed the alignment sheet, open the scanner glass lid and place the alignment sheet face down on the scanner glass. Next, close the scanner glass lid. If the printer has finished successfully scanning the sheet, it displays an Alignment Successful message. Lastly, tap Finish to finish setting up the Web Services. The Wireless Setup Wizard helps your OfficeJet 100 to connect to the internet and download the software drivers from 123.hp.com/oj100

  • First, check if you’ve inserted any USB slot into the printer. In case there’s any USB cable, remove it.
  • Next, go to the home menu of the OfficeJet 100 printer and touch the Wireless icon.

    • Now, open the software from the browser download bar and if the Windows User Account control asks to make changes to the system, allow it to make the necessary changes. Then, read and agree to HP’s terms and conditions in order to proceed with the driver installation process.

First, make sure that you’ve downloaded and installed the full-feature software drivers from 123.hp.com/oj100  or 123.hp.com/setup 100 so that you scan documents using your printer. Then, open the scanner glass lid of your printer and place the document that you want print-side down on the printer’s scanner glass. Then, close the scanner glass lid and choose the Scan option from the Home menu. The printer will ask you in which format you’d like to save the scan.

Once you’ve selected the scan format, you can tap the Scan button to scan the document.

HP OfficeJet 100 Paper Jam

Follow the steps below to check for and clear out Paper Jams in various places

  • Paper Jam in Input Tray: If you find that there’s a Paper Jam in the Paper Input Tray area, remove the paper from the Input Tray and check for foreign objects in the Input Tray.
  • Paper Jam in Output Tray: In case there’s a Paper Jam in the Output Tray, pull the paper out of the tray and clear the blocked path.
  • Paper Jam in the ink cartridge access area: If you find a Paper Jam in the ink cartridge access area, switch off the printer.
  • Then, push the Paper Output tray inside. Next, open the ink cartridge access area.
  • Then, slide the ink carriage towards the extreme right and remove the jammed paper.
  • Next, close the cartridge access door and the front panel of the printer.
  • Gently pull out the paper that is causing the paper jam.
  • Then, close the ink cartridge access door and the front panel of the printer. Now, switch on the printer again.
